History: Rosalie was the daughter of a group of travellers, and was born in 1959. They travelled around the USA a lot, and her parents were never shy about their witch heritage. They taught their children to be proud of what they believed in, to be generous and to treat others how you wanted to be treated. Rosalie adapted to this way of life with ease, while some of her siblings found it difficult. While travelling around with her family she saw many different people and many ways of life, and soon learnt not to judge a book by its cover.

At the age of 21, she lost her parents and eldest brother to witch hunters. From then on the family split up, keeping in touch occasionally and going their own ways. As one of the middle children, Rosalie acted as a bridge between the eldest and the youngest. She would stay in one place in America for decades at a time, while her siblings moved about frequently.

She has eight of children by her husband who died 5 years ago in a forest fire. All her children have now grown up and gone their seperate ways, leaving Rosalie alone in her old house. About 5 months ago an old friend Rowena contacted her, asking her to come to London to look after the coven there and become their Coven Leader. After losing two coven leaders to emergencies, Rosalie was eager to step in and help, especially with some of her children living in England.

Appearance: At the age of 47, Rosalie is only beginning to look like a woman in her late forties or a very good looking 50 year old. The years have been kind on her body, despite the amount of children her hips have had to bear. She seems to hold that motherly low all the time, and always seems to be in good spirits. Rosalie is a very natural woman, rarely using make-up and her hair is still the same golden brown as it was years ago, with a few traces of silver woven in with it. You won’t find this woman in flowing, form-hiding garments. She is proud of her figure, and while she won’t be seen in leather or pvc, she will wear quite modern clothes.

Personality: She is the epitome of a white witch, in so many ways. A true loving mother, she always treated her old coven like her own children and loved them all for who they are. Rosalie does not judge, and many people find it easy to talk to her. At the same time, she is aware of herself and will be firm, but clear if someone oversteps their line. Most of the time though; nothing is too big or small for her, and she is the one who always remembers everyones birthday and organises the suprise parties.

She’s still as fun loving as the rest though, she strides through life with ease, handling each problem as it comes along. Despite being a mother, and an elder witch, she is not ancient in her ways and definately does not like being considered old! Rosalie easily adapts herself to the changes of life and society, and helps others to do the same. She’s a teacher as well, helping anyone with any magical problem or finding someone more specialised to help out. She can easily persuade people to help others out, even if it does result in a groan from them.

Talents: Rosalie’s magic lies personally in the element earth, like her Mother’s and a few of her siblings. It is this inheritance that gives Rosalie the edge, and also helps her to teach the other witches due to personal experience. Her control over the earth and plants is impressive, and she uses her powers to work with the plants rather than against them.She is a true believer in the power of herbs and crystals, of ingredients from mother nature. She can be considered a walking encyclopedia of crystals and their uses. In her old Coven she was one of the elders, and this means she has a lot of other magical experience (although some she has no talent with at all) and is good with rituals and circles.

Rosalie’s non-magical life consists of two categories; her family and managing World Tree, a new age shop in London. Her managerial and people skills are brilliant, and she is always there to offer a helping had to customers; even humans. She uses her personal experience to help others with their craft, offering advice for physical or emotional ailments.

With a family as large as hers, she has become a good mediator and her patience has quickly become endless. Even now her children are old enough to fend for themselves, Rosalie finds herself in the middle of arguments or offering advice. Dealing with some of their fathers is not always easy, while some are still true friends and Rosalie deals with each situation as it comes to her.

Weaknesses: Rosalie’s family is her largest weakness. They are the one thing she will put before all else, and will do everything apart from black magic to help them. This can mean that she can be taken for a ride by her children, but she loves them, and is not as completely naive to their plans as they think she is. Losing her husband was a terrible blow for her, and his death will always cause her pain. Being estranged from her siblings is not something Rosalie enjoys either, even though most of her siblings would like nothing better than to avoid family altogether.

Although Rosalie has experience in her old Coven and with her children, she has never been a Coven leader and is going to be in for a shock. Her experience with vampires and lycanthropes is some what limited and may cause her problems.

Magic wise, Rosalie may be a great practioner and in touch with her element of earth, but that is the only element she has power over. She has tried and failed many times to communicate with other elements and this does hinder her in some spells. Most of her spells are healing or protection spells, very few are defensive and even fewer are for attack. This can put at her a disadvantage if anything bad happens in London.
