History - Kyan's mother was a stereotypical party-girl that got herself in trouble during her early twenties. Finding herself pregnant by her latest boyfriend, she was eventually convinced to keep the child. Kyan was born 9 months later and for the first year of her life she lived with both her parents. But after a while it became obvious to everyone that her mother could not cope with a child, and her father agreed to keep the child and bring her up as his own.

Whether her mother was a witch is something Kyan does not know. She knows only a handful of information about the woman that left her, partly due to no one wanting to talk about it and also due to her lack of interest in the subject. It was not just her mother that left her; the rest of the family followed suit. Kyan was a mistake that they all wished to forget, or so it seemed.

Perfectly happy with her life, she has never had a reason to search for her long lost family. Her father had named her Kyan after kyanite, a stone that he knew never needed to be cleansed. He was a witch and believed that Kyan had already been cleansed from her mother's influence, from a large problem in her life. With that in mind he chose that name and brought her up as an open minded young witch. Through him Kyan learnt not to judge a book by it's cover, and how to use crystals for healing and spells. As she grew older her powers and curiosity grew, and not only in magic. While she chose a college close to home, Kyan has enjoyed the chance to experiment with love and magic on her own.

Appearance - Her father's family is of Spanish descent and it shows through Kyan's appearance. Her skin is olive and is seemingly unmarred by tattoos and piercings. But those that have got to know her privately know that she has some piercings in "private" places, and this has sparked various rumours as to where they are. True to her heritage, Kyan has alluring, hazelnut eyes and full, pounting lips. Her hair falls to just under her shoulders and is a mix of cinnamon and cocoa strands. With a slight curl to it, she has yet to find a way to calm her thick locks.

As for her body, she is thin and almost to the point that worries people. However, Kyan is far from anorexic and has a healthy appetite, she is just particularly petite. With a slender waist, toned stomach and full bosom, she attracts enough attention without the need for the revealing clothes she wears. Kyan's clothes are as experimental and daring as her nature, and she is easily able to shock some of the more prudish people. It also unusual for Kyan to not be seen wearing or carrying a crystal in one way or another.

Personality - Experimental is the best word to describe Kyan, although many would argue that 'slut' is more correct. Her reputation for sleeping around and participating in more risque activities is more than true. Kyan isa true water child, ruled by her emotions and one of those is lust. Her sexual appetite is not satisfied by simply sex, but that does not mean that she will sleep with anyone and everyone. She is quite particular about who she does spend her time with, and spends a lot of time analysising people's personalities before she makes her move. Of course, a few times she has made mistakes and those in the past hurt the most. She still gets hurt by people's reactions, but Kyan was raised knowing she was different and occasionally it does seem that she plays up to that. Brought up to be open minded, she has a strong dislike for prejudice, especially homoism/homophobia and racism. At times she has had to contend with both due to her spanish descent and her bisexuality.

Kyan isn't a 'bad girl', she's a wild child and an art student but she does not go out of her way to be mean to people. Extremely emotional, she tends to wound people the most when she strikes out using her emotions. Although, it is her emotions that make her a good listener, and she has a good understanding of people and their actions. There is also a creative flair to Kyan, which shows through her art work and the way she expresses her daring desires.

Talents - Kyan's talents lie mainly in art, crystals and divination. An art major, she is fueled by creativity drawn from her own element and is skilled with pencil and paint mainly. Occasionally she works in 3D, but she has yet to master the art of sculptures and prefers to stick with 2D work. Along with her art skills and imagination, Kyan has a vast knowledge of artists, mythology and historical references surrounding some works of art. Her own curiousity has resulted in the knowledge of random times, places, people and things.

Her inquistiveness can also be seen in her love of astrology and divination. Kyan is a large believer in fate and astrology helps her to understand herself and others a little better. An example is Kyan's own lust. Her ruling planet for her birthday was Venus, and Venus is also the ruling planet of Libra - her star sign. To Kyan these are signs and she has noticed similar patterns in the traits of other people she knows. As for divination, she is able to use tarot cards and runes.

Kyan's specialty though is using crystals, ranging from crystals for the aura, healing, spells, divination, scrying and protection. She has a large collection of crystals of various sizes, types and for various uses, as well as a good understanding of how they should be used and cleansed.

Her other magical talents include using her element water. Unlike some other witches she is not able to call upon other elements, but Kyan has learnt to use and call her element in spells, in defense or in attacks. Linked to her element is her intuition. Humans would call it deja vu or "psychicness" but either way, Kyan has a good grasp of identifying what her subconcious is trying to tell her through divination or sometimes dreams.
