Description: Jayden grew up with his parents in the middle of two brothers, Carter being the elder and Frederick the younger. His childhood was the usual for a child with two other brothers, and the three of them were always getting into scrapes. The only unique thing about their upbringing is their parents close relationship with the King. Ralar and Tifia had known King Harold since they were young, and had grown up as a part of the King's inner circle of confidents. All three boys were familar with the King from a young age, and as they grew into young adults it was only Jayden that remained close to the King. Carter became more interested in politics and Frederick began to rebel.

Despite being close to the King, Jayden had never really considered it to be anything special. King Harold was a kind man who had time for many loyal allies, so Jayden was certainly no exception. It did come as a big suprise to Jayden to be asked to take over as the King's Advisor when the previous one died of an illness. His reply to the King came after several days of thought, and after asking the King why he had chosen him. The King told him that when he was a child the King had asked him something and he had given him a cheeky reply. Within that cheeky reply was something special, and since then the King had watched Jayden grow into a serious man that cared about the Kingdom rather than the politics.

Many were suspicious of Jayden's ability to perform as the King's advisor, especially since he was only 25 when he was appointed. He had also never really been the type to involve himself in business or politics. It took a while for him to win them over, and in the end Jayden was successful. His ability to look at the big picture and his interest in the well being of all the Castes has served him well over the past five years. He can often be found randomly visiting parts of the Kingdom, and all different Castes. Jayden takes his job very seriously, and although he understands the needs for the caste system, he does not particularly like it. He likes to make himself known to all castes and gets frustrated wehn particular laws for castes get in his way.

His youthful appearance and warmth for all castes cause many to mistake Jayden for easy-going. He is happy to use this to his advantage, allowing his opponents to underestimate him until they face him. He is not accustomed to losing, and has a tendency to go on one-man crusades sometimes. Beneath his serious exterior lurks a lonely man who finds it hard to trust people. His closest friends are known allies to the King, and has only had a few romances. His interest runs to men, as well as women, which has caused certain rumours to be spread about his relationship with the King. He always puts his duty before pleasure, and more than once he has refused someone's advances.

Jayden's current crusade is the King's missing will. The King refuses to name the contents of the will to Jayden, claiming that he doesn't want to endanger him or the heir. He also knows that without the will any named heir can and will be contested. At present Jayden is using all his resources to find the will and remaining positive that the King's health will improve. The King's fever has gotten so bad that he cannot be asked to name the heir, leaving finding the will as the only option.

Physical Appearance: A handsome young man, Jayden has a slightly rougish look about him. He has a defined profile and chiselled jaw, and a heart-melting smile that lights his face every time. It can be quite difficult to tell whether his smile is genuine or just polite. His eyes are set deep in his face, framed by slightly bushy eyesbrows and are hazel in colour. Jayden keeps his dark hair short since it has a tendency to grow wavy and quite bushy if he grows it any longer. At it's current length it lays in layers of wavy strands, with several waves falling over his forhead.

Quite tall, Jayden's body was skinny as a child and has filled out in adulthood. His form is still slender, but more sturdy now with toned muscles. He is often seen wearing the colours of Veritaius, royal blue with black and gold trim, and a variety of luxurious materials. He hates it all, and the only piece of jewellery he wears is the ring that signifies his status as the King's Advisor. It's a simple gold band with the King's seal printed at the top. If he could have his own way Jayden would only wear a pair of comfortable breetches and a cotton shirt. When in private this is what he chooses to wear, and he always wears his ring.

Talents: Jayden excels at listening and dealing with people of all walks of life. He can make people feel at ease, and his caring nature means that people trust him. He is honest, polite, not prejudiced of one's caste and keeps his promises. This has earnt him a lot of supporters and a lot of enemies. His neogational skills are excellent, and he is good at thinking up new compromises or solutions to a problem. By using a private spy network and talking regularly with each Caste leader, Jayden is usually well informed. Any advice that has been given to the King is only given once he has has explored all possibilities and gathered information.

His duty as King's Advisor has come with a price, and Jayden has become quite paranoid. He finds it difficult to trust new people, or trust his feelings with anyone, including his own family. Sometimes he can be quite cold, but he is an incredibly lonely person. This is one of the reasons he pushes himself into his work, making his duty his life. Since the King has fallen ill Jayden has been extremely busy and has had little time for himself.

Not all of his talents are related, or useful, to his position. Jayden is particularly skilled at writing, a talent that usually only gets used for writing speeches nowadays, but he has been known to write poems, stories and even songs. He can play the piano, and in private he sings along with his playing. His combat skills are moderate, adequate enough to keep himself alive if needed. His body is kept fit through regular walks and bouts of combat with some of his friends within the King's Guards.
