History - First born as Leona during the 16th century, she watched her parents and brother die at the hands of her uncle when she was only 10. Taken by her uncle, she soon learnt that her father had broke the two main rules of the Night. Her father had been a vampire, her mother a human. She was half vampire.The punishment for all involved was death. But her uncle, Hunter who was the head of the family disobeyed the Night World Council's order and kept Heather alive. She lived with him and his family but was treated more like a servant than a member of the family. Over the years until her 18th year, her uncle tried to force her to drink blood until he suddenly stopped.The reason why soon became clear.

Leo Blackthorn.When they met if became obvious that he was her soulmate. Both of them fell in love and everything was fine until Heather over heard Hunter and Leo talking one night. It soon became obvious that both of them was only interested in a heir. Determined on escaping she was forced to go on a trip with Leo in which she became pregnant. Wedding plans were started and Leo changed his name to Redfern but fate saved her and she died giving birth.

A girl was born to the reincarnated brother of Hunter, Heather had been reborn this time as Ariel. Saved Thierry Descoudres, he taught her how to fight and survive. But he forgot about Heather’s son who had been raised by Hunter. He watched Heather and on her 18th birthday he killed his own mother.

It soon became obvious that Heather Redfern was indeed an old soul, never being reunited with her soulmate as her son stepped in. As the cycle continued, every name she was reborn with meant Lioness.

After what had happened before, Hunter decided to play things differently. In her present life he did the same he had done in her other lives – killed her parents and brother, taking her as a servent. But he did not tell her that she was half vampire, and kept her as a prisoner until she was 14. Saved by some Daybreakers after her ‘uncle’ was killed, she learnt the truth about herself. The vampire hunter called the Lioness was created and was soon become well known and hated through out the Night World.

As the Lioness, Heather was hidden from the Night world and her son, becoming apart of Thierry’s group, Circle Daybreak. Here she met some of her cousins and other vampire hunters. But she didn't remember her past. Until one night when she had the same dream she'd had for a week, this time it ended in her son killing her. She remembered. Furious that Thierry had not told her, Heather left Circle Daybreak. While travelling and trying to find out her true self her past caught up with her. Forced to fight her son, it became obvious that she might lose once more. But Heather was stronger for knowing her past and soon overpowered him, killing her only son.

Returning to Circle Daybreak, The Lioness felt complete inside. But no matter how hard Heather tries to hide the truth from others, she knows that one day she must find Leo, her soulmate, even if it results in her imprisonment – or death.

Appearance - Her shoulder length hair seems only to be a normal dull brown until it catches the light, showing the natural highlights that run through her hair. Her blue-green eyes are typical of a Redfern, changing color as she experiences strong emotions. However, she is only able to change them to a different blue or green instead of changing the color completely.

Attire - As a vampire hunter, she prefers to wear all black, or dark colours. Her normal attire usually consists of tight pants, a tight top and leather, knee high boots.

Personality - During her first life, Heather was defencless and weak. But after seeing her parents killed when she was 10 four life times running has made her stronger. Fierce and Bitchy, as the Lioness she manages to keep alive by not trusting anyone and always keeping her mind on her job of a Vampire Hunter. Despite this causing her life to be quite lonely, she knows that it is safer to be alone, ‘trusting the wrong person just ends up with you dead.’

A strong dislike for witches and warlocks has stayed with her due to what they did to her in the past under Hunter Redfern’s orders. She is usually independant only taking someones offer of help when she really needs to. This causes a lot of arguments when Theirry orders her to work with someone, she has a tendency to ignore some of his orders.

Talents - Despite only being half lamia, Heather’s mind is perfectly aware of everything around her. She is able to sense different species around her, unless the night person is skilled in the art of appearing human to those of their kind. Heather is also able to communicate telepathically without having to drink blood. The impossible only made possible due to the old powers arising once more.

Trained by Lord Thierry Descoudres of Circle Daybreak, her range of fighting skills is vast. But despite being among the best of the Daybreak fighters, she is not impossible to beat. Her human side is weak, sometimes causing her to sustain injuries fatal to a normal human. However, her Lamia blood saves her as long as she is able to receive fresh blood soom enough after being injured.

A vampire hunter, it is obvious that Heather’s many weapons would of course be catered for a vampire ranging from her especially carved wooden katana to smaller wooden daggers and a crossbow complete with wooden bolts. Keeping her weapons hidden in places such as her high knee boots and the back of her waist band, she also keeps them strapped to her spine and arms when wearing a jacket. Her hair in occasion has been an asset to keeping a weapon hidden, hiding the hilt of a sword beneath her jacket.
