History - A witch, Darien was born the son of Suzan Whittier and an outside witch in a place not far from New Salem. From an early age it became obvious that he would soon become far more powerful than his parents and their coven. Growing up away from New Salem and the other children of his mother's coven, his uncle was the leader of the coven his father had grown up with. The coven had a common goal to help. Darien grew up with him as his idol, but with his own ideas.

Leaving his parents behind, he left to travel throughout the USA in search of witches with no coven of their own. Hearing about Black John from a girl he seduced, he remembered his mother speaking about the same person. He realised that if he returned to his parents he would have a reason for returning to New Salem and there he expected to find witches that he could lead. When he found out that she knew of his plans to go to New Salem and round up the remaining children of his mother's old coven, he realized that it was time for him to take a step down the much darker path. Leaving immediately after 'disposing' of the girl, Darien was worried that he may have killed someone that would have been of use to him. But it was not long after arriving in New Salem that he was accepted, especially by the other witches .

Appearance - His brown hair looks auburn as it catches the light, with natural highlights of black, brown and auburn. His eyes are a hazelnut that can that look warm one moment and the deadly cold the next. Tall, he has a habit of looking like a large cat, the type that will watch you carefully before stalking you and eventually pounce

Personality -Incredibly intellignet and compassionate, A powerful witch, Darien has been dangerous ever since he began to rebel against his parents. After taking the route down the dark path, he is not afraid to kill if he needs to unlike the other children of Crowhaven Road. Looking for witches to form his ideal coven, he has no intention of sharing power. Power hungry, cold and well known for the influence he has on girls, he wants to be the leader of a coven, which caters for one thing; himself. He has no interest in making an ideal coven, which would fight against the next evil or the return of Black John.

To the non-witch world, he is just a normal popular guy, known for his luck with girls (which unknown to them is due to the fact that he is a witch). Good at most sports, he is also intelligent unlike many of the typical jocks. His popularity is obvious despite him only just moving to New Salem, people have already got respect for him and know that is better to leave him alone than get him angry, his temper already known. Mysterious, no one knows how his mind works, could that be because he is a witch instead of just a normal human?

Talents - A strong witch, he has the ability to control and manipulate his element of power; fire. Darien also has the strength to communicate mind to mind. It is believed that his talent when it comes to seducing may be linked to being able to control people with weaker minds to him through a stone such a lodestone or hematite. His knowledge of spells is also vast, a copy of his family?s Book of Shadows is in his hands, added to by his uncle as well as himself.Not all of his talents lie in witchcraft, he is not stupid and most of his plans are well thought out.
