History: The Grandaughter of Roseclear Harman, Amala's ancestory is one of power. Throughout her life she has been surrounded by powerful magic and in turn she has grown to realise her full potential. Unlike her cousin, Amala grew used to having Redfern blood in her veins and it is fairly obvious from her appearance; her hair being a similar red as Hunter Redferns. Many times she has realised that the vampires rely on the witches for their magic and that is quite easy to seduce vampires; either with power or sex.

Appearance: Her Redfern blood is evident in her hair, a recessive gene giving Amala hair like spun jasper, an auburn that reminds people of Hunter Redfern's own blood red locks. It seems that her appearance exists purely to announce her heritage, for like most Harman's she shares the violet gaze that names her as a witch. Her own eyes are a pale lilac, almost grey compared to others which are a brighter violet. Her skin is quite pale, which is not unusual for a red head such as herself and it helps to emphasise her rose coloured lips.

Personality: Amala's ideas are the opposite of her cousin's, and most of the time she is interested in power. The most important person to her is herself and she is not afraid of who knows that. Cunning and beautiful, Amala uses her body and her talents to get what she wants. Many times that results in the pain of others which she does not have much time for. Due to her family she has a habit of acting of acting above those around her and expects them to respect her for who she is.

Talents: A witch, Amala's bloodline lends itself to her own talents and powers. As a Harman from one of the most powerful lines, her own power and knowledge are great. She is amongst the most skilled at her craft and especially crystals in Thornwood Palace, and only her cousin Adelaide rivals her. But unlike Adelaide, Amala's talents can only stretch to moderate healing, while she prefers to concentrate on defensive and attacking spells that she can use with crystals. Sometimes these include charms and love spells, but only when boredom claims her for Amala does not wish to be associated with such 'trivial' spells.

Her other talents include a small amount of hand to hand combat, mostly a few elegant twists and kicks that help her to keep the upperhand in situations which warrant such action. Her dislike in 'ladylike' activities such as embroidery and cooking are reflected in her lack of knowledge of such subjects. However she has found a love in reading, and horse riding and she is able to read and write.
