Finally I get to see it again now I have the DVD

I’ve been eyeing this film up since it was first out but never got a chance to see it at the cinema. So I brought it on my birthday It was amazing but definetly not what I was expecting. I’ve not got much to say so this is a bit of a short review

I have to admit I love adult storylines. Now I’ve grown up books and films that don’t have that little bit of added sex just doesn’t seem as interesting. So the Old Town girls scenes were great. Alexis Bledel I have heard of but never seen acting and her character was really well played. Benicio Del Toro once again did nothing for me at all, I really don’t rate him as an actor. Bruce Willis of course stood out and once again did an absolute fantastic job, especially his ‘old man’ narrating. That was really effective. Brittany Murphy and Clive Owen rocked. I’ve only ever seen Clive Owen in King Arthur but I’m slowly beginning to understand what all the fuss is about.

I was really suprised from the beginning to see so many big named stars in it, just in little roles. I didn’t expect Josh Hartnett and then when I saw Elijah Wood in the credits. I have to say… fantastic job Mr. Wood. Very very freaky and I am never going to be able to think of him the same way again now, but who would have thought he could pull off that role?

The 2nd book in the Darknest Trilogy, the first trilogy set after the huge New Jedi Order (NJO) series and the book wasn’t a disappointment. However, it was odd in some places mainly because of the way the Jedi order has changed after the events of the NJO.
