All directories have been cleared of all dead links and have had new categories added.
Hello and Welcome to the Distant Fantasies Network! The DF Network is series of websites designed to help RPG owners advertise their RPG, and aid RPers in finding a new RPG to play. Please use the menu above to view the different sites and services offered here.
Navigating this site: To navigate this site you need to place your mouse one of the headings, such as 'Adult RPGs' and then move your mouse directly downwards. Then click on the link in the drop down menu that you wish to view. If you find the menu moving to fast then slow your mouse down.
Donations: if you like Df and use it a lot, please consider donating something to help with my webhosting costs or take a look at my wishlist. This may seem cheeky but running a website like this is not cheap, and any help would be appreciated. DF still remains totally free to use, so don't worry :)

I have finally found the time to make some changes to Distant Fantasies. For now the layout is staying the same, but by the time I'm done I'm hoping to have a new layout up and be back accepting RPGs to review.
The first step of these updates is sorting out the directories. I've changed the Canon directory categories so far so that RPGs can be browsed by individual fandom. However, this means that some fandoms may be listed under an incorrect category to some of you. Take X-Men for example; it's been a comic series, a movie series and a TV series. I am not going to list them under all three, so for practical reasons it is listed under 'comics'.
I have also cleared out all dead links in the Canon directory, and will be adding new links to a category called 'New Links' so that visitors can see which RPGs are new. These sites will then be moved to their respective categories after two weeks. This 'New Links' category will be added to all of the directories. Next up for a clear out is the Original RPGs directory, which will take a little longer. Some new categories will also be added.
In my opinion the Adult RPGs directory does not need a category reshuffle so I will only be removing deadlinks there. After the directories have been tidied up I will be dedicating my time to the advetrising guide, re-writing it, adding new links and removing dead links. So if you have any useful advertising links please send them my way

Hey all,
Just a note; when you a submit a link or edit a link in any of the website directories it will not appear automatically. I need to approve it, so please do NOT resend your site. Submitting/editing your site simply sends me another email notification, it doesn't get your site approved any faster.

Distant Fantasies has grown in leaps and bounds over the past year, and now there are three directories it is difficult for me to keep up with link checking. Link checking is basically checking the links for deadlinks, inactive RPGs and RPGs that aren't linking back or direct-linking.
The only requirement for a link checker is that you are available a minimum of once a month to be able to carry out a link check. If you are interested please email me at dp@artisticchardon.com and let me know which directory you would link to check (Adult, Canon, or Original).
Thanks,
Heather
