A-Z of Me

A is for... Artistic

I have a very large artistic streak, which started when I was about 4 when I used to draw with my grandad. As I got older I used to practise drawing with my dad, and it was in Secondary school that my 'talent' was first recognised. Although my work was very simple at that stage, I would score the top marks easily in each homework. When it came to GCSEs Art was an obvious choice, and my teacher encouraged me to try for art college. Unfortunatly this dream was dashed as my confidence failed in college thanks to bad teaching. Instead my interest in art took me onto complete a BA Hons in History of Art. My interest in art is reflected in a lot of what I do, and I tend to view the world from an artist's point of view, taking in the colours and effects caused by lighing.

B is for... Bitchy

I tend to be an honest person, and I treat people as they deserve to be treated. I stand up for myself, for what I believe in and people I care about, and I refuse to take crap from anyone unless I'm in the wrong. I don't see being a 'bitch' as a negative thing, I view it as being an independent and strong woman.

C is for... Caring

I consider myself to be a caring person to those who take the time to get to know me. I care about the people close to me, and do anything in my power to make them feel better. Whether that's listening, talking or being the one to say 'ignore him, he's an idiot'.

D is for... Determined

I'm not one for sitting back and letting the world rush past me. If there is something I want to do, or something I want done then I will get it done. Once something is decided that is usually the decision I stick with, although I am not completely against changing my mind if I feel there's a better choice.

E is for... Emotional

I am a very emotional person, whether negatively or positively, and this can be a good and a bad thing at times. I do have the ability to think rationally, but I do tend to think more with my heart than my head.

F is for... Fighter

I don't like to sit down and let someone get away with something that isn't right. I fight for what I believe in, and for the people close to me. However, most of this fighting is done through verbal arguments/debates, rather than protests. I guess you could say I fight for things that are closer to home/personal to me.

G is for... Geeky

I have always been a geek; always done my homework, scored the top marks/grades, been academic, a bookworm, a massive Star Wars fan and participate in various other geeky activities such as roleplaying. While geeky is a label it is one I wear with pride. I am a geek, I enjoy being geeky and I like being geeky with friends. It's part of who I am, I'm just not a ""normal"" person.

H is for... Honest

I think honest is the one thing most people would associate with me, and I was once told it was my best quality. I don't sugarcoat things, and I tell people the truth, but that doesn't mean I am without tact or subtlety. It really depends on the situation, and who I'm talking to. I find that being blunt not only saves time, but it also saves hurt feelings a lot of the time because it stops a long argument from taking place. Honesty is always the best policy, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. Unfortunatly sometimes people just cannot handle the truth, and in those situations I think it's better to be honest because you learn what that person is truly like.

I is for... Intelligent

Not to blow my own horn, but I'm simply not an idiot. I find academic studies, especially theory subjects such as Philosophy and Sociology, easy to understand and enjoyable. I love to learn knew things, and I find it easy to think my way around a problem or theory and then apply it to a situation.

J is for... Just

I consider myself to be a fair person who takes both sides into an account before making a decision.

K is for... Kinky

I think this one doesn't need an explaination ;)

L is for... Loyal

If someone becomes my friend they get my support and loyalty 100%, and I expect the same loyalty in return. I don't gossip about my friends, I don't tell their secrets to others, and I don't cheat in relationships.

M is for... Misunderstood

I feel that a lot of people throughout my life never bothered to get to know me properly, and still at the age of 21 I feel that people still get it wrong. There have been so many times in the past where people have judged me, made assumptions or misunderstood something I've said. All it takes is for people to take the time to get to know me, and some people are just too lazy to do so.

O is for... Open Minded

I don't judge people, and I try to keep an open mind in all situations. I say try because I think it's impossible for someone to claim to be opened minded 100% of the time. I know that nothing is black and white, and that nothing is ever simple as it seems. People are complicated, and I like to think that my friends know that they can talk to about anything.

P is for... Passionate

My passion touches many parts of my life, and displays itself through my thoughts, beliefs and interests.

Q is for... Quick

In a physical sense I am terribly slow, but in a mental sense I consider myself to be quite quick witted/quick up on the uptake. This usually shows itself through sarcastic comments.

R is for... Romantic

While I don't seem particularly romantic or even girlie at times, I love romance and having someone be romantic. I love red roses, suprises, gifts, candle lit dinners etc., and I like being the reciever and giver of romance.

S is for... Shy

Despite having quite a talkative, loud and dominant personality, I am actually quite shy. I worry about what people think, how I'm percieved and it can take me a long time to do something new. If I'm unfortable about doing something for the first time I will put it off for as long as possible before doing it.

T is for... Tempestuous

I am a very intense person in many different ways. It's not easy to control my emotions sometimes, and if anyone get's in my way then there will be trouble.

U is for... Understanding

Despite being quite young I have been through a lot, and this means that I can be an understanding friend. I have often felt the same way, or through my own experiences I am able to understand how someone is feeling. I think that it helps that I can be quite analytical with my own feelings, so I find it easy to understand human reactions. Of course like all people I have my limits, and there are some things I can't understand.

V is for... Vocal

I am an opinionated person, and I can be very vocal when I want to be. I'm never afraid to speak out if I disagree or dislike something, and I feel that everyone should feel they can do that. Sometimes I'm too vocal, and it can be difficult for me to keep my opinons to myself at times. Other times I'm the one speaking up to help someone, sticking up for them when no one else does.

W is for... Wary

I'm wary of everyone I meet, and sometimes it can take a while for me to feel comfortable around new people. In the past I have given my trust too easily, so I like to make sure I know someone before confiding in them.
